Hey there, Oxymoron: Killing Time backers! Tyler James here with a few fulfillment announcements for you...

#1: SHIPPING SURVEYS GOING OUT TOMORROW 

And speaking of surveys, we're planning on sending out our SHIPPING SURVEYS early on Thursday, 10/21/24, through Backerkit. Our survey is designed to collect your shipping information and for you to confirm any add-ons you may have pledged for during the OXYMORON: KILLING TIME campaign. 

You'll use the survey to confirm your OXYMORON: KILLING TIME pledge, make some selections if necessary, and to upgrade your pledge if you so choose.

And for INTERNATIONAL BACKERS, who were not charged anything for shipping during the Kickstarter campaign, the survey will also be where you'll be able to pay for shipping using our TOTAL ORDER WEIGHT shipping. (Remember, US shipping was and still is free.)

ADD-ON EXTRAS, PLEDGE UPGRADES & DROPPED PLEDGE RECOVERY

Any Kickstarter add-ons or special perks will be reflected in your order on Backerkit. And even if you didn't select any add-ons during the Kickstarter campaign, you'll be able to upgrade your pledge to a higher level or choose some ADD-ON EXTRAs when you fill out your survey as well!

Most backers will receive the OXYMORON: KILLING TIME, powered by Backerkit, on the morning of Thursday, 10/31.  However, about 5% of backers will receive their survey this afternoon, as we conduct our "SMOKE TEST" to make sure the survey is working as expected before we send out to the full backer list. It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information to fulfill your rewards.

You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!

Unfortunately, we were sad to see that 20 backers' pledges were dropped as Kickstarter was unable to resolve their credit card charge issues...

However, those backers WILL be able to fix this through the Backerkit Survey.

Also, if you made a mistake in your pledge and selected the wrong reward, you will be able to correct it when the survey comes, as well as provide us with additional info so we can fulfill your pledge!

WANT TO BE INCLUDED IN THE BACKERS' SECTION OF THE PDF? YOU MUST FILL OUT YOUR SURVEY BY 11/7/2024! 

We'll be putting a page thanking backers by name in the PDF. We need your surveys in ASAP to create that page.  SO please, don't delay in completing that survey if you want the acknowledgement.

OXYMORON: KILLING TIME is a Wrap! Here's What's Next!!!

What a launch! Hey there, Oxymoron backers, Tyler James from ComixTribe here, checking in after our campaign wrapped! What a campaign! 

We finished up strong, breaking through the $30K funding milestone and unlocking another 4 pages for the book for everyone! In this update, I'll share a few updates on what's coming next...

Next Steps for Killing Time...

Next week, we'll be setting up the Backerkit Pledge manager and getting that prepped for the survey and collection of your materials. Meanwhile, the creative team will be continuing to work on finishing the book.  We're currently in the 2 week funding freeze period, where Kickstarter is processing pledges on our behalf.

Only 91.6% of pledges have already been successfully processed via Kickstarter. That leaves 39 backers whose pledges have errored. This is a simple fix, and usually means your credit card info with Kickstarter is not up to date.

To update your payment information, simply log into Kickstarter and update your account. (Kickstarter will also send you an email to fix this.)

NOTE: If you're having trouble getting this fixed, it's usually best to try to do it from the desktop vs the phone app, which can be a little buggy. Please resolve those pledges ASAP, so we can get you your rewards without delay.

After That: Backerkit Surveys

If you're new to Kickstarter, you may be wondering how we'll know where to send your rewards, or if you ordered a T-Shirt how we'll get the details on your order. Alternatively, you may have wanted to double check your add-ons and the things you ordered. 

Not to worry...

After Kickstarter finishes doing its thing and collects pledges from all backers, we'll send you a short SHIPPING SURVEY powered by BACKERKIT to fill out which will let you tell us where to send your physical and digital rewards.

Also, while shipping for US backers was included on Kickstarter, we will be using Backerkit to tally up all of our international orders total shipping weights so we can charge you only what it will actually cost us to ship your package to you. We'll be collecting those shipping fees through Backerkit, via Paypal or CC. 

Prompt survey fulfillment = faster fulfillment, so we do hope you'll get yours in ASAP after we send it. Once we get the surveys out, we'll follow up with a time-table on expected rewards delivery.

Here we are, the FINAL DAY of the Oxymoron: Killing Time launch! 

As you can see, we're super close to adding yet another four pages to the Oxymoron: Killing Time hardcover if we can unlock that $30K Stretch Goal! 

To help nudge us forward and make an even bigger, better book, I decided to roll up my sleeves last night and draw a few more sketch covers, since the first couple I put up on here went EXTREMELY fast! (That's y'all! It's been a while since I've picked up the pencils and inks, and I forgot how much fun it is to draw sketch covers!)

I'm pleased to announce that Travis and artist Brian Wolf have been added to the Oxymoron: Killing Time anthology for a Post-Credit Bonus Oxymoron story that will put a chef's kiss final touch on this volume. A great book just got even better for you all...

Artist Edition Sketch Cover Drop!

Hey, real quick! This month, I've been inspired by the awesome Oxymoron art that many artists have been doing for Indietober. 

What's Indietober, you ask? Well, I had a great chat with Travis Gibb, it's creator, all about it the other day...

Oxymoron was one of the 31 indie comic characters selected for participants to draw in this years' event. It's definitely an honor to see all of the artists who have taken a stab at Oxy as well as the many other great characters highlighted in the event. 

And it's inspired me to pick up the pencils and ink myself as well! 

As publisher of ComixTribe, I rarely draw any more.  But I'm happy to contribute 5 pages of new sequential art to OXYMORON: KILLING TIME... and also decided to do a few new sketch covers this week to help out the campaign. 

I found a few OXYMORON: The Loveliest Nightmare #1 Artist Edition Blank first printings on a recent trip to the ComixTribe warehouse... and so I through some pencils and inks on them!
